Analyst
Investment Banking / Mergers & Acquisitions
Key responsibilities include:
Deal Execution
- Form part of the deal team in the execution of fundraising and M&A transactions
- Support the creation of effective client presentation and marketing materials incl.
management presentations, written proposals and other transaction documents
- Interact and communicate with investors in coordination with the deal team
- Participate in due diligence processes
Financial Modelling and Research
- Support in building and maintaining complex financial models for business projections and
valuation analysis
- Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
General
- Take responsibility for selected project work streams on live transactions and as well as on
internal workflows as agreed with the project team
- Support the team in day-to-day business and transaction execution as required
- Extend and maintain our CRM system including investors and company databases
Development Value
- Small team with high exposure to senior colleagues and -depending on candidate maturity
and standing- also clients (esp. working level)
- Build and develop comprehensive set of hard and soft skills required to excel as an
investment banker

Prerequisites

Additional requirements include:
Person Specification
- Excellent academic performance (preferably in business administration, finance, accounting
and/or economics)
- Relevant work experience (including internships) within investment banking, the VC or PE
industry, consultancy or related fields
- High degree of personal effectiveness
- High level of self-motivation, commitment, dedication and accountability
- Fast and comprehensive thinking, willingness and ability to be a quick learner
- Good understanding of key accounting, finance, economics and business concepts
- Team player with always positive attitude
- Good sense of humour
Skills
- Strong conceptional and quantitative analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, foremost PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluency in English and good knowledge of German; further languages are a plus
- Ability and desire to work as part of a small team and take responsibility from early on
- Strong interpersonal skills
